Skee-Ball® is a brand name for a classic arcade game in which players roll a ball up a table-sized, sloping ramp, attempting to score points by getting the ball into one of a series of rings. Skee-Ball® is all about accumulating as many points as possible within the time limit. 

 

The popular game was patented by Joseph Forestier Simpson in 1908 and has been around for more than a century. Simpson named the game "Skee-Ball" as a reference to skiing, particularly the ski jumps that were popular in America at the time. • Because our Skee-Ball® arcade games contain flammable materials, we do not recommend installing them near hot surfaces or open flames.

• Routinely inspect couplings and wires, as each game contains electrical components. 

• We recommend involving four or more adults when moving the machines — each game weighs about 240 pounds when fully assembled.

• Ensure the machine is operated and assembled on a level surface that can support its weight. Home Skee-Ball® games are intended for indoor use only. 

• Do not climb, sit or stand on the game, or place liquids on its surface. Adults should carefully supervise children who use the machine.

Skee-Ball® Game Variations

​

There are many exciting Skee-Ball® game variations for you to play. Here are 6 of our favorites:

​

• Classic: Each player rolls 9 balls up the ramp into the targets. The player who rolls the highest score wins.

• Speed: Players roll balls as fast as they can for 30 seconds. The player with the highest score wins.

• Light 'Em Up: Players roll 3 balls at a time, aiming to hit each target once. The goal is to hit each target with the lowest number of balls. (Note: You only need to hit one of the 100-point targets.)

• Three-Ball: A twist on Classic, each player rolls 3 frames of 3 balls each. The player with the highest score wins.

• Countdown: Players roll 3 balls at a time to countdown from 310 to exactly zero. The first player to hit zero wins. (Note: If you bust, your turn is over for that round.)

• Blackjack: Each player is dealt a random card. Roll one ball at a time to reach exactly twenty-one. Don't bust or your game is over. The game ends after completing the round in which any player scores a twenty-one.
